YES makes the cut

Your Equipment Solutions of Falkirk has become the first hirer north of the border to buy a newly launched electric stone and porcelain tile circular saw from a range being introduced by Duro Yokota.
The SCS7 model from the supplier’s AGP line-up of electric tools has a 180mm diameter blade and cuts to a maximum depth of 55mm. An optional guide rail can be fitted for precise, straight cuts.
“We are asked a lot for equipment to cut porcelain tiles from landscapers and builders installing patios,” says YES sales manager Gregor Mabbott, who saw the product on Duro Yokota’s stand (pictured below) at the recent Executive Hire Show.
“We have also bought a G7 hand-held floor grinder from the AGP range which is ideal for doing edges.”
Gregor tells me that business is generally very strong.
“Other recent purchases include welfare units from AJC EasyCabin to complement our new portable toilet hire activity. We have also added more BMD 300 compact dumpers from Altrad Belle and stair scaffolds from LFI.
“We are also finding that contractors are undertaking a lot of of refurbishment work because of restrictions on demolition and rebuilding due to environmental considerations, and the utilities market is also busy with the installation of fibre optic cables and other work.”
