Take to the Cloud for Cybersecurity

The issue of cybersecurity and protecting businesses from online attacks is often in the news as hackers exploit loopholes and weaknesses in computer systems.

MCS says that its cloud-based hire software gives hire companies an extra layer of cyber-security in many business areas, from simple password updates and access rights management, to firewalls and system upgrades.
The software provider says that its MCS Cloud solution puts a secure Crowdstrike firewall in place to protect against malicious attacks where intruders could steal, change, or destroy a company’s important business data or information.
“Working in technology, we see many instances where without the proper firewalls in place, disaster can strike, and businesses can struggle to get back up and running again,” says MCS technical director Brian Francis.
“We offer our Cloud customers peace of mind that we will always make sure their data is safe from harm and they will be protected against Intrusion, Zero Day threats, Botnet detection and more.”
Other precautions taken by the software supplier include an offsite database replication in a second location and daily backup processes.
“We often consider our offsite data back-ups as more of a cyber than a physical threat, but more frequently now, physical cyber-attacks are possible because of the more modern and technical nature of building security,” adds Brian.
“Ensuring that data is not vulnerable in its physical location is key to having failsafe cyber-secure measures. A secondary data centre and daily offline back-ups mean that our customer data is as safe as possible.”
MCS says it can also ensure that a company’s operating system is always up to date. Windows, for example, often releases updates that keep up with new technologies and new versions that fix vulnerabilities. The benefit of using a Cloud solution is that these updates are rolled out without the end-user having to do doing anything.
