Demon International is introducing the Tornado Maxi-Bowser as a larger machine to complement the manufacturer's existing Mini-Bowser unit.

Directors Martyn and David Walke tell me that the product has been developed to meet demand from hirers and end users who need a larger capacity, mobile machine rather than a trailer mounted version that could be prone to theft. 

“The Mini and Maxi Bowsers can simply be wheeled into a safe storage area at the end of the working day.

“Licensing regulations also mean that more drivers below a certain age are not able to tow with some vehicles without holding a specific licence. The machines can be delivered to site in a standard van or truck.” 

The Maxi has a 225-litre capacity compared with the Mini’s 150 litres. Standard features return to tank unloading, ball valve filling and a heavy duty hose reel with 30m of high pressure hose and a spray lance. 

A range of engine and pump options are available up to 2900psi/15 litres per minute. 

“A number of national hirers are currently evaluating the Maxi-Bowser. One said that there is less need for a large bowser capacity because many construction applications simply involve washing wheels on plant and machinery moving on and off sites.”
