Pickerings opens Leeds depot

The government has stated its intention to place construction activity at the heart of the recovery, and one business that is already seeing growth is Pickerings, a provider of modular buildings and portable accommodation.
It has increased its depot network with the opening of a new outlet in Leeds, to serve customers throughout Yorkshire.
Expansion
Neil Moss, Pickerings’ managing director, says that the company has an active depot development programme to expand its coverage as well as opening new depots in existing areas.
“The Leeds site is our first depot in Yorkshire and we are excited with the opportunities in the region,” he adds. Recruitment is currently underway for a number of jobs at the location.
Larger facilities
The company tells me that two more depots will also open shortly in the Midlands and the south of England. Replacing existing ones, they will be larger and be able to hold more stock.
Pickerings, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, currently has 12 branches nationwide offering modular buildings, portable cabins and associated products to hire, buy or lease.
