Wacker battery rammers
2 April 2024
Wacker Neuson has announced a number of eco-friendly product innovations for the first half of 2024.
A new generation of battery-powered rammers have an ergonomic guide handle and a replaceable ramming shoe, which is also compatible with the manufacturer’s latest two and four-stroke variants. The batteries incorporate active cooling for optimal temperature management.
The Wp1550e is a single-direction battery powered compaction plate with DireX, a direct drive developed by the manufacturer to optimise running time and performance, with low vibration. Power comes from a Battery One battery, which is also compatible with the construction equipment of the other manufacturers using the platform.
Wacker Neuson has introduced a new two-stroke rammer using the company’s WM80 engine with optimised cold air flow. The machine has a narrow, compact design to facilitate manoeuvrability and its CO emissions make it suitable for use in trenches, says the manufacturer.
Also new is the DV124 dual view dumper with a maximum payload capacity of 12500kg. It incorporates skip and tilt monitoring, a hill-hold function and an instrument panel that can be rotated by 180 degrees to give unrestricted visibility when driving, loading and unloading, giving greater efficiencies particularly in confined working environments.
