Solar makes sense, says Prolectric

Visitors to the Prolectric stand at next month’s Plantworx exhibition will see an interactive display of the company’s solar-powered products, as well as gaining an insight into the telematics software that has been designed to ensure optimum performance all year round.

Combining intelligent hardware, software and GPS tracking, the Power Portal gathers over 400 pieces of telemetry data to provide a complete view of each unit’s operating condition, including fuel usage, solar generation and the battery’s state of charge to optimise operation. The Bristol-based company says this has been proven to help save up to 90 per cent of fuel use when used in conjunction with the single phase Prolectric ProPower solar hybrid generator.

Prolectric’s Lighting Portal enables its fully solar ProLight and Prolectric ProRXM mobile solar lighting towers to determine the specific solar conditions in their location, tracking dawn and dusk times and applying advanced algorithms to automatically adjust the lumen output to ensure they work throughout the night, all year round and in all weather conditions, whilst being compliant with British Standard lighting levels.

Plantworx visitors will be able to view both Portals in action alongside the new 3-phase ProPower unit and the original single-phase version. Prolectric will also show the ProLight and Prolectric ProRXM mobile solar lighting towers, the ProTemp temporary solar lighting column and the ProCam CCTV camera.

The 3-Phase Solar Hybrid Power unit provides 60kW of hybrid (pass-through) power. With double the inverter output (30kVA), and 105kWh of battery storage, it provides greater flexibility to scale sustainable power to suit individual site conditions, says the company. It can be connected to existing diesel site generators of up to 100kVA to expand capacity further.

The ProPower is housed in a compact trailer and has integrated solar panels and battery technology. By minimising generator run-time, it saves on fuel costs, reduces maintenance and cuts CO2 emissions by up to 90 per cent.

The ProLight mobile solar lighting tower operates without noise or emissions and is designed for use at infrastructure works, construction projects and events, while the ProRXM is a compact lighting tower designed for cost-efficient transportation and installation in smaller spaces.

The ProTemp is a temporary solar lighting column for construction compounds, temporary car parks, outdoor events and festivals, and the solar-powered ProCam combines CCTV cameras, LED lighting and a loud PIR (passive infrared) activated speaker-alarm for motion-activated site safety and security monitoring.

Plantworx will take place at the East of England Arena & Events Centre in Peterborough on 13-15 June.
