On the Snorkel trail

It’s intriguing how the need to improve sustainability is making hirers and end users examine their working and operating practices closely.

Snorkel Europe reports that its S2755RTE narrow rough terrain scissor lift is proving popular for several eco-friendly reasons.

Power for the machine comes from two 11.5kWh lithium-ion batteries so operation is emission-free, and weighing 2750kg it can be towed legally on a trailer behind a 4×4 vehicle.

“This makes it easy and quick to deliver to site without having to use specialist transport, and it uses less fuel than a larger truck,” Andrew Fishburn, Snorkel’s Vice President Sales for UK & EMEA told me.

The S2755RTE, which is pictured on Snorkel’s stand at the recent Vertikal Days exhibition in Peterborough, offers a maximum working height of 10.1m and has a platform capacity of 300kg.
