Green and Gold for Genquip

Genquip Groundhog’s latest innovation in sustainable site welfare provision has won a prestigious international award.

The company’s iRange of mobile and static units has received a Global Gold commendation in the 2023 Green Apple World awards, coming top in the Green Energy class. The Awards (pictured) are organised by The Green Organisation which promotes best practice in sustainability.

Genquip’s success is the latest in a series of recent achievements. At the recent HAE Hire Awards of Excellence ceremony last month, the company was Highly Commended in the Product of the Year category for its i550 welfare unit, which is powered by a low emission 2kVA engine-driven battery charger system charged by a 1200W inverter, backed up by four roof-mounted solar panels.

The i550 also has a Victron Remote Monitoring system (VRM) that helps the operator to detect potential anomalies by setting alerts and alarms.

The iRange has also been shortlisted in the Non-Operated Plant and Support Service category in the Innovation Awards organised by Plantworx 2023, the equipment exhibition taking place at the East of England Arena in Peterborough from 13 to 15 June.

iRange units are powered by an intelligent solar power and battery system, designed to ensure that the backup Stage V-compliant generator running on HVO (hydro-treated vegetable oil) operates typically for around a third of the time when compared to a conventional welfare cabin.
