Prolectric goes on tour

As previewed earlier on the blog, Prolectric unveiled the 3-phase version of its ProPower Solar Hybrid Power unit at last week's Executive Hire Show.

The unit delivers 60kW of hybrid (pass-through) power for equipment at work sites, helping to cut carbon emissions and reduce diesel use.

The new 3-phase unit provides double the inverter output (30kVA) and three times the battery storage capabiliry (105kWh) than the existing single-phase ProPower model, and can be connected to diesel generators of up to 100kVA to further expand on-site power capacity.

And the machine is now embarking on something a tour of the country until the end of March as a final part of the product evaluation process.

Rachel Preen, who was recently promoted to become Prolectric’s managing director, says that all the company’s products are designed with input from customers and end users as part of its innovation programme. They initially give feedback on what issues they need equipment to solve and Prolectric then aims to address these.

“The ProPower 3-Phase Solar Hybrid Power will now be visiting the various hirers, suppliers and key clients involved so they can evaluate it further,” she tells me. “The machine has taken nearly three years to develop and will be available in the third quarter of 2023.”

This will obviously be in time for the main lighting hire season. And Rachel says we can expect to hear details of another new Prolectric product in Q4.
