Electric Doosan mini
27 October 2022
Doosan is to launch a new two-tonne electric mini excavator.
The DX20ZE was previewed on the manufacturer’s stand at the recent Bauma exhibition in Munich. Due for full launch in 2023, it will be the manufacturer’s first mass-produced electric excavator.
With a width of 950 mm, the machine can pass through narrow passages and entrances, making it suitable for working in confined space indoor applications such as demolition and basement construction.
It is also an attractive option for work in sensitive areas where low-noise or night-time work is necessary, such as city centre developments and contracts in areas like hospitals, cemeteries and schools.
Power comes from a 20kWh lithium ion battery pack. A quick-charger system restores 80 per cent of battery power after one hour, whilst the on-board charger provides a full charge after six hours.
