Wacker Neuson to launch new battery plate
23 August 2022
Wacker Neuson will unveil a battery-powered reversible vibratory plate with direct drive at Bauma, which takes place in Munich from October 24 to 30.
Said to be the first of its kind on the market, the APU3050e model has a working width of 50cm and a centrifugal force of 30kN. The direction of travel is changed using a the same hydraulic adjustment system as found on conventional models.
The manufacturer’s DireX direct drive system does away with drive belts, minimises maintenance and gives extended running time through more efficient operation. The machine’s low overall height facilitates work in narrow trenches.
Last year Wacker Neuson introduced a series of single direction vibratory plates (pictured above) available with petrol engines or battery power, comprising the BPS and APS ranges respectively.
