Sizeable order for mini battery Tufftruk

Tufftruk reports growing interest in its EB300 electric BendIe mini dumper, a battery powered 4×4 model that has a 300kg payload capacity.

Managing director Andrew Simpson tells me that a national hirer recently ordered 50 of the machines, together with 25 of its 500kg capacity stable-mate, the EB500. 

Measuring 730mm wide, the EB300 (pictured on Tufftruk’s stand at the Hillhead exhibition last week) fits through a typical doorway, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Andrew says that the battery gives up to eight hours’ operation before charging is required.

The articulating chassis gives considerable manoeuvrability and both powered and manual skip-tipping options are available.

Andrew adds that national and independent hirers are expressing interest in the machine as more customers recognise the need to meet environmental obligations.
