ThinkHire’s smart Trime units

ThinkHire, the specialist provider of environmentally friendly power generation and lighting equipment, has ordered 20 more solar-powered lighting towers from Trime.

The X-Solar machines are scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks and join 50 such units that the company already has in its fleet. 

Neil Richardson, ThinkHire’s MD said, “We worked closely with the Trime team to enhance the functionality of the X-Solar lights, which now incorporates our own fleet management system. 

“In the past, we did examine a number of other lighting systems; however we found that the X-Solar easily out-performed all the others over the trial period.”

The machine has four LED lamps and is powered by a combination of solar energy and eight AGM batteries. These have a very low internal resistance, are capable of delivering high currents on demand, and offer a relatively long service life of up to 4,500 hours. 

ThinkHire’s latest X-Solar additions will be put to work at infrastructure projects throughout the UK including renewable energy schemes, highway works and railway maintenance sites. The company has depots in Greater Manchester, Hertfordshire and Ayrshire.
