MHM widens Stage V range

MHM has expanded its range of Stage V generators with a line-up that now covers capacities up to 500kVA in its Ready to Rent portfolio, designed specifically for the UK and Ireland hire market.

The machines, some of which are shown above, benefit from an automatic engine protection system which shuts down to protect them from damage caused by issues such as low oil pressure and high engine temperature.

The range comprises multi-voltage models, providing additional flexibility for hirers and models up to 100kVA are available in road-tow versions.

Units are powered by Honda petrol or Kohler, Yanmar, Kubota and Iveco diesel engines, and are HVO compatible as standard. Optional extras including telematics for accurate insights into power usage on site. Also available on selected models as an option is an ‘eco’ auto stop/start function to reduce noise, fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

“Hirers want to be able to offer their clients ways to reduce emissions that do not compromise on generator quality and reliability,” said Brad Ireland, MHM group sales director. “That is why we’ve worked closely with our engine suppliers to ensure that all our generators can take HVO fuel – and why we can offer additional carbon savings with stop/start technology.”

● MHM also reports increasing demand for its Event Ready range of machines designed for ‘ultra-low’ noise levels, as mentioned earlier on the blog <<< https://www.alanguthrieonhire.com/cgi-bin/site-eco-full-details.pl?article_ref=2990&article_title=Tip-top-tanks-from-MHM . “It is great to see the UK and Ireland opening up fully after Covid and there is huge pent-up demand for outdoor events. We’re delighted to be helping to power these events with generators that can reduce both noise and fuel emissions,” said Brad, who added that “demand has soared.”

The range (example below) covers models from 10kVA to 500kVA with noise levels as low as 50dBa at 7m.

The generators are specifically designed for outdoor events or use on movie and TV sets. Standard features include Deep Sea control panels, a three-way fuel valve, 12V battery isolator switch and a fully bunded base.
