Avant’s sound benefits

Avant Tecno UK reports growing interest in its electric and battery powered compact loaders.
John Spencer, the company’s sales and marketing director, tells me that the e6 machine (pictured) is proving popular with a diverse ranger of users, including fruit growers undertaking tasks in polytunnels and slate mine operators working underground.
“The e6 can give six hours of operation and recharges in an hour, so users can charge it during their lunch breaks and then be back at work,” he says.
“They appreciate the lack of fumes and emissions, as well as they fact that the machine is virtually silent in operation.” The unit has a lift capacity of 900kg and can raise a load to 2.8m.
John tells me that interest is also growing in Avant’s range of Leguan electric lifting machines such as the 135 Neo, which offers a maximum 13.4m working height.
“Tree surgeons find it ideal because they can use it for work in domestic gardens powered by the battery or off the mains supply,” he says. “Customers appreciate the noise reduction compared against a diesel machine, including people who are now working from home and don’t want to be disturbed unduly.”
