Climate Supplies doubles up
17 March 2022
Established just six months ago, Climate Supplies has acted quickly to secure accreditation to two recognised standards – ISO 9001:2015 relating to management quality, and ISO 14001:2015 concerning environmental practices.
“It’s like getting a Michelin star, being difficult to achieve and then you have to work hard to maintain it with regular auditing procedures,” director Andy Gilman told me.
“We wanted to do it while our processes were still malleable so that we could make any required changes more easily.
“We are getting involved in more and more tendering processes, and so having the two ISOs will make the procedures easier,” he added.
A consultancy, QMS International, undertook a ‘gap’ analysis to assess any differences between actual and expected performance levels. Modifications were made to give a structured management approach for consistency in both internal and external functions.
Climate Supplies has quickly assembled a broad product portfolio that now includes space heaters, patio heaters, fire pits, air conditioning, dehumidifiers, ventilation and air purifiers, giving year-round business opportunities.
A previously reported on the blog, the business is working towards carbon neutrality, utilising a carbon offsetting programme that plants trees and contributes to the UN’s sustainability targets.
