Himoinsa gears up

Himoinsa Power Solutions reports that demand continues to grow for battery energy storage units.

“We have very good order books for this year and the events season is also just about to get under way,” Sales Director Steve Sutton told me at the recent Distributed Energy Show in Telford, where the company was exhibiting.

“Orders are coming across the board, from customers in construction, hospitals, data centres, hotels and other markets, and for projects in urban areas with low-emission regulations.”

Himoinsa is well placed to meet the demand, having opened an additional facility in Spain dedicated to making such machines as well as lighting towers, as reported on the blog last November.

The manufacturer’s current line-up includes battery energy storage units with capacities of 30kVA/60kWh and 45kVA/60kWh.

Himoinsa’s Special Projects Manager, Chris Autey, added that larger models are in development, with a 300kVA/300kWh machine expected to be available by the beginning of next year. Variants of up to 2MW are also in the pipeline. These larger units will be able to run together in parallel, giving even greater capacities.
