Wilko adds tool hire

The home and garden retailer Wilko has launched an online tool hire activity.

Called wilkohire, the service is being operated in partnership with the online rental platform easyToolhire and offers equipment for gardening, cleaning, drilling, painting and decorating, amongst other tasks.

Wilko is a brand of The Range, which has 200 shops supplying homewares, furniture, DIY items and art supplies. In September 2023, The Range acquired the Wilko brand, website and intellectual property of Wilko Ltd which had entered administration the previous month.

The business opened five Wilko retail outlets last year and is shortly adding locations in Poole, Rotherham and St Albans shops as part of a national roll-out.
