FTH buys Independent Hire

FTH Hire Group has announced the acquisition of Independent Hire of Chelmsford, bringing its number of locations to ten.

Independent Hire supplies tools and plant hire both locally and across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Greater London.

Gerry Marsh, Acquisitions & Development Director at FTH said: “As well as the Independent Hire team joining the FTH family to continue serving the local market and customer base, the acquisition also adds a large and varied range of quality equipment to our already significant fleet of plant, tools and powered access machines.”

Based in Hampshire, FTH’s other locations include Airdrie, Farnborough, Farnham, Guildford, Basingstoke, Reading, Maidstone, Horsham and Southampton. In January the business bought Arvill Plant & Tool Hire and in 2021 it acquired Kelsey Plant Hire, as reported earlier on the blog.
