Hillhead enhancements

Visitors to the popular Hillhead plant exhibition for professionals in the construction, quarrying and recycling industries will see a number of enhancements at the site near Buxton.

A new road linking the upper and lower car parks has already been completed, as well as the installation of additional welfare facilities, including more plumbed toilets at the top of the site, a new viewing platform and more seating areas.

Taking place from 25 to 27 June, the exhibition will also include a new-look Showground Pavilion that has been extended by nearly a third, creating a further 550m² of internal exhibitor space, as well as housing a new cafe and networking area.

More than 600 companies are expected to exhibit at the event, which takes place every two years. The organisers say that some 20,000 visitors are likely to attend.
