Takeuchi UK reports that its TB20e battery powered mini excavator has made a rapid start following its official launch earlier this year.

The machine (pictured above), which was displayed on the company’s stand at the ScotPlant show in Edinburgh, weighs in at 2011kg and offers a similar performance to its diesel TB216 counterpart. It has electro-hydraulic controls and provides up to eight hours of operating time at 65% load.

Also on display was the 5-tonne class TB350R short-tail swing mini (pictured below) which is one of Takeuchi’s stylish third generation machines. It has automotive-style controls in the cab including a jog wheel dial and a touch screen, with LED work lights being fitted all round.

Takeuchi says that it will be showing a number of new models at the Hillhead plant exhibition in Buxton this June, including the 2-tonne third generation TB320 mini and a 7-tonne wheeled excavator featuring compact styling.
