Hares with Snorkels

Hares Hire Services of Romford has just taken delivery of the first Snorkel S3013 Mini compact scissor lifts to be sold in the UK.

As reported previously, the machine has aroused considerable interest amongst hirers since being previewed at the Executive Hire Show in February. Hares Hire placed an order for six.

"The S3013 Mini is absolutely perfect for us because of its low weight and compact dimensions, and it’s all-electric with no hydraulic hoses,” Managing Director Daren Hare tells me.

“It will be very popular with our customer base including contractors undertaking shopfitting work, maintaining retail premises and serving events. The extending deck also adds versatility.”

The machine offers a maximum working height of 5.8m and can be used indoors or outdoors. It can be driven at full height, has a basket capacity of 272kg and weighs in at only 815kg, making it suitable for work on floors with reduced weight-bearing capabilities.

The rollout deck can accommodate two people and measures 0.76m wide by 1.44m long.

The S3013 was named as Hire Industry Product of the Year in the recent HAE Awards 2024.

The Hares Hire fleet includes a significant number of powered access machines, including other Snorkel models such as the TM12 and S3010E.

Earlier this year, the company moved to larger premises.
