Clean up with Trime X-Wash

Trime is raising awareness amongst hirers about the super-deduction 130 per cent capital allowance offered by the UK government.

The scheme is available for all businesses that invest in main rate plant and machinery, which qualifies for the allowance deduction, which is set to end in April 2023 – although the CPA has argued for its retention beyond that date.

Trime points out that if a hire firm purchases one of its X-Wash (formerly known as X-Splash) plant cleaning bays before April, it can set that investment against its corporation tax bill, although they should obviously check their eligibility directly with HMRC or their accountants.

The wash bay prevents soil pollution and contamination of drains from oil, grease and similar chemical contaminants commonly associated with the regular cleaning of off-hired equipment.

Trime offers a complete delivery, installation, and training programme for all X-Wash purchasers of the X-Wash, which has received awards from the environmental group The Green Organisation.

Paul Hay, managing director, of Trime UK said, “If a company invests and installs one of our X-Wash wash bays, they are likely to be able to claim 130 per cent capital allowance against their tax bill. Several of our clients have already successfully completed their applications.”
