Hubbway adds more Trime units

Hubbway Tool and Plant Hire has added 40 X-Eco Hybrid Lithium lighting towers to its fleet, manufactured and supplied by Trime UK.

Nick Hubb, managing director of the business which is based in Cramlington, Northumberland, said: “We did look at few other lighting towers before we decided to go for the Trime lithium powered units. However,  the keen attention paid to us by Ray Caulfield (Trime Group’s CEO), gave us the confidence to commit to the Trime sets.

"We know that our clients will appreciate the fuel savings and environmental qualities that these lights provide.”

The lighting tower is powered by a combination of a lithium battery and a small fuel-efficient diesel engine. Trime states that, as the machine can be fully recharged in less than two hours, for 80% of its operation it can be run solely from the battery with no noise and zero carbon emissions.

Hubbway has already put some of the new X-Eco Hybrid Lithium sets out on hire on rail and highway projects. They expect demand to increase rapidly as outside events begin to build-up, and particularly in areas where noise is an issue.

This latest order means the company now has more than 250 Trime lighting towers in its hire fleet.
