Keep track with Mecalac

Telematics systems are being adopted more widely as a means of monitoring and controlling operators’ carbon footprints. 

Now Mecalac Construction Equipment UK has announced the international roll-out of its MyMecalac Connected Services telematics service across its site dumper portfolio, on new models or as a retrofit kit.

The system gives insight into fuel consumption and productivity, issues service reminders, maintenance alerts, remote diagnostics and offers a geofencing capability.

Comprising a web portal and a mobile app, the service can highlight machines requiring immediate attention and allows technicians to avoid potential breakdowns.

Alongside telematics capability, the system includes a start-up digicode unit. Effectively an immobiliser keypad, the device requires operators to enter a specific code before starting the engine.
