Tip-top tanks from MHM

Rising fuel prices and the risk of pilferage or theft make it all the more important to store diesel securely and to monitor its usage.

As a result, the MHM Group tells me that demand is rising sharply for its range of storage tanks, which have capacities ranging from 100 litres to 75,000 litres.

“There are two essential aspects to fuel management,” group sales director Brad Ireland told me at the ScotPlant show in Edinburgh where the company was exhibiting last week, “namely the dispensing of fuel and monitoring its level. We have developed a system that allows users to control both.

“Access can be restricted to authorised individuals and the identity of the user can be logged along with the amount dispensed. The fuel level can be monitored remotely via an app and deliveries can be ordered as required. It can also tell you what the price will be.”

MHM has also introduced a similar system for AdBlue storage tanks (centre of picture above), which are now required more widely following the introduction of generators and other machines with Stage V engines.

“Generators have a pump to draw in more diesel from a storage tank as required, but many do not have such an arrangement for the AdBlue,” says Brad.

“Our AdBlue tanks, which are available in capacities of up to 30,000 litres, have an automatic system to keep the generator topped up.”

● MHM reports growing interest in its ‘ultra quiet’ Stage V generators (pictured below). Finished in a striking pink livery, the machines are available from 10kVA to 500kVA and have a noise level of just 50dBA at 7m.

The generators can run on HVO fuel and are proving popular in markets like events and film production, as well as for construction tasks in sensitive environments.
