Sunbelt Rentals UK has acquired the hire business and assets of Hybrid Power Hire (HPH) which supplies battery power storage units.
Sunbelt states that this will expand its hire fleet of such machines to more than 750, ranging from 20kVA to 60kVA.
Andy Wright, CEO, said: “Over the last 12 months we have invested over £100 million into new, greener rental products and services. This has included Stage V plant and machinery, battery and solar lighting, battery tools, and electric plant and machinery.
“As a business we are committed to reducing our carbon intensity by 35% by 2030 and through our Our Planet strategy we aim to leave a legacy for future generations. This is demonstrated in the work we are doing to reduce our carbon impact and reinvest in the environment and communities where we work.
“Importantly for our customers, in addition to renting the most effective solutions, we can now also provide them cutting edge data, technology, and information that will allow them to see and appreciate the changes made by renting a greener solution from both a fuel, emissions, and cost perspective,” he added.
