Speedy access additions

Speedy has taken delivery of 380 new Dingli lifts after a £4.3m investment as it continues to replenish and expand its powered access fleet.

The latest additions include zero-emission battery powered scissor lifts and mast lifts, with working heights ranging from 6.7m up to 15.7m, as well as 12m rough terrain 4×4 scissor lifts which can be run on HVO.

Speedy now uses the eco-friendly diesel substitute to pre-fuel all powered access equipment as standard.

This latest purchase builds on a previous investment in April 2020 in 130 Dingli scissor and mast boom lifts.

Andy Briggs, managing director at Speedy Powered Access said: “Contractors are increasingly choosing low-carbon equipment that helps them to meet clients’ emissions targets. We’re making significant investments to replenish and expand our powered access fleet to boost availability of the sustainable assets they require UK-wide.

Speedy Powered Access was formed in November 2020, following the merger of Speedy’s existing powered access businesses with three acquisitions – Prolift, Platform Sales & Hire and Lifterz.

Since then, the division has invested more than £20m in powered access machinery, adding more than 700 units to its fleet, including models from Dingli, Skyjack, Genie and Niftylift.
