Boom time at Clements

Clements Plant & Access Hire of Coventry has just added two lightweight all-electric Niftylift boom lifts to its fleet.

The HR12LE machines offer a 12.1m working height with 6.4m of outreach and have a 200kg capacity basket. They can be used indoors or outdoors and have a compact chassis measuring 1.79m wide by 3.97m long.

Emitting zero emissions, they are ideal for work sites based in low emission zone areas or where HGV access is impossible.

Jim Longstaff, chairman of Clements, tells me that the main reason for buying the machines is their lightweight characteristics.

“They only weigh 2,540kg meaning that they can be transported to site on a trailer towed behind a 3.5-tonne van or truck,” he says. “This makes them perfect for customers with urgent orders because we will always have that kind of vehicle available to deliver them.

“In typical operation the lithium batteries last up to three days between charges,” he adds.

Clements already has larger Niftylift HR15 all-electric booms in its fleet, as well as bi-energy hybrid HR12s.
