Level benefits from Snorkel eco lifts

Briggs Equipment has become the first company in Ireland to invest in Snorkel’s zero emission lithium-ion powered Speed Level lifts.

The company recently took delivery of two of the machines at its Dublin depot from distributor Ahern Ireland. The four-wheel drive SL26RTE and SL30RTE can self-level and can be driven at full height on compound slopes without the need for outriggers, says the manufacturer.  They are quieter than the diesel equivalents.

The standard two-battery pack system can deliver at least an eight-hour shift on a single charge, and in some cases, up to one week between charges, subject to usage. Designed for outdoor applications, the AC electric motor provides higher torque than a diesel engine, improving gradeability and performance on rough terrain.

Briggs’ SL26RTE was immediately deployed in its first hire on a retail park, lifting workers to clean building facades. The customer appreciated the machine’s ability to be driven at full height while positioned on the pavement.
