Sustainable Climate

I caught up with Andy Gilman and Chris Winstanley at the recent Showman’s Show, roughly a month after they officially launched their new business Climate Supplies which offers heating, cooling and air handling products.

The company has a UK supply agreement for Trotec indirect oil-fired heaters which are available with ducting, diffusers, thermostats, cowls and other accessories.

Now, of course, we are all being urged to go green wherever possible and use alternatives to fossil fuels - especially with the COP26 climate summit currently taking place in Glasgow. But Andy says that oil fired machines are excellent for producing heat in the volume required to heat marquees, warehouses and other large spaces. And electric models obviously need a power source of some kind.

To redress the balance, for every oil heater solid Climate Supplies is planting trees as a carbon offsetting measure through an organisation called More Trees.

The Trotec range also includes air purifiers with Hepa filters to remove dust and contaminants. Demand for these is less seasonal in nature.
