Wacker plate newcomers

Wacker Neuson has introduced a new series of single direction vibratory plates available with petrol engines or battery power for work on asphalt surfaces and soil compaction. 

Both the APS (battery) and BPS (petrol) ranges comprise three models with a centrifugal force of 10kN to 13kN and a base width of 30cm to 40 cm. Either option is said to offer the same performance. 

Base plates have a square side profile for clean finishes at kerb edge and the machines have quoted HAV ratings of less than 5m/s². 

The range comprises the APS1030e, APS1135e and APS1340e battery models and the BPS1030, BPS1135 and BPS1340 petrol machines, weighing 50kg to 70kg.  

The lithium-ion battery used on the electric models is the same as used on other battery-powered equipment by Wacker Neuson, including three rammers, six compaction plates and a vibrating poker.
