Mobile Mini's big bird boxes

Organisations are increasingly aware of their ESG (environment, social and government) obligations in terms of sustainability but an important aspect that can be overlooked is protecting wider society and the whole environment.
This can bring new hire demands and some distinctly unusual uses for equipment.
Andrew Thompson, managing director of the secure container and site accommodation hire specialist, Mobile Mini UK, tells me of a particularly out-of-the-ordinary request that the company once received.
“Our Bristol branch supplied our temporary storage containers during the construction of wind turbines. They were used to create a bank to protect bird breeding grounds along the Avonmouth sea wall in the Severn Estuary.
“We supplied 40 units in an initial phase and 30 in the second. It was deemed to be very successful.”
So the drive towards net zero could offer more hire opportunities than might be expected, especially if people think laterally to solve new demands.
