Hilti lightens the load
21 June 2021
What is the well-dressed Hilti sales person wearing these days? You might well see them sporting the manufacturer’s EXO-O1 harness, an exoskeletal system.
It was promoted on the company’s stand at the Rail Live exhibition near Stratford-upon-Avon last week, and was one of a number of products of interest to tool hire professionals.
As Hilti rail specialist George Powell demonstrated (above), the user puts their arms through the harness and any weight from an object they are holding is transferred to their hips via forearm supports and mechanical cables.
This facilitates overhead tasks such as cable installation or fastening applications. George tells me that he often wears the EXO-O1 (mentioned previously on the blog) when calling on customers, and that it certainly starts a conversation.
