Templant rises to the challenge

Generator hire specialist Templant Rental Power certainly rose to the occasion in meeting challenges posed by a recent project in central London.

A 500kVA Stage V Bruno generator was specified to provide power during a shutdown project at a high-rise building behind Liverpool Street station, and it needed to be installed on the roof of the 13-storey structure.

The 9-tonne machine was manoeuvred into place using a crane, co-ordinated through a comprehensive lift plan devised by an on-site specialist operator.

Templant also provided fuel bowsers for uninterrupted operation of the generator, together with remote monitoring services.

The Chelmsford-based hirer currently has more than 400 generators in its fleet, including a significant proportion of Bruno machines supplied by BGG UK.

Templant has adopted a strategy called its CarbonCut Commitment aimed at reducing its carbon footprint and that of clients. As part of this, the company has collaborated with SulNOx Group in using the SulNOxEco diesel conditioner, a biodegradable treatment designed to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
