Long life from Obart

Obart Pumps’ achievements in measuring and reducing its carbon footprint have been reported several times on the blog. 

At the recent Executive Hire Show, the company showed a video on its stand highlighting how its Tsurumi pumps are designed to be easily repaired and reconditioned to extend their working life and increase hire revenue opportunities, as well as reducing waste. 

“These are not throwaway items,” MD Matthew Hill told me. “They are designed for long life in hire fleets. We keep parts in stock and basically only two tools are needed to work on them.” 

Matthew says that Obart can recondition pumps for large volume customers. Obviously the service carries a cost, but it is less than a completely new unit – and it can help a business meet its sustainability targets.
