JCB’s smallest Loadall

The ongoing demand for compact equipment for work in confined locations has been shown by JCB having introduced its smallest Loadall telescopic handler model to date.

The 514-40 has a cab height of just 1.8m and a width of 1.56m, but the manufacturer says that the machine benefits from having the largest cab in its class.

At 24.7hp, the diesel engine requires no DPF (diesel particulate filter) or AdBlue treatment to meet Stage V emissions parameters.

All-wheel steering enhances manoeuvrability for users such as construction workers, materials suppliers, landscapers and event organisers.

The three-cylinder, 1.1-litre engine produces 66.9Nm of torque and drives through a Bosch hydrostatic transmission to a two-speed Linde motor, delivering a maximum travel speed of 15km/h. Permanent four-wheel drive facilitates all-terrain working.

Lift capacity is up to 1400kg and maximum lift height is 4m, with lift capacity at full reach at 525kg. The machine has an unladen weight is 2695kg and it incorporates a new lightweight tool carrier that is capable of working with floating forks or a 0.41m3 bucket.
