Groundhog on top of the world

Genquip-Groundhog has won two more environmental awards for its sustainable welfare and temporary accommodation units, having been named as a CSR World Leader and a Green Champion for its iRange of low-emission products by The Green Organisation.
The company was presented with its trophies and certificates during a ceremony at the Houses of Parliament in front of an audience comprising people from throughout the world.
As part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) award entry, Genquip-Groundhog nominated its energy-saving, all-inclusive Unisex SolarLoo, a combined male and female toilet system designed for construction sites. It is powered by solar and battery sources and emits very low emissions.
The company also put forward its online Virtual Showroom, designed to cut down on energy-consuming and expensive journeys to its Neath headquarters by allowing customers to inspect its products in an immersive virtual reality experience.
The Green Organisation is an international, independent environmental group that recognises social responsibility best practice around the world.
Genquip-Groundhog’s production lines and offices are powered partially by recently installed solar panels. It has also engaged The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures, part of the University of Sheffield, to devise a carbon reduction plan for the business, which will be fully implemented when completed.
