Taskman machines ease the pressure

Seddons Plant & Engineers designs and builds its Taskman pressure washer range at its Bolton headquarters and the company believes that this fact, coupled with keeping its supply chain as locally based as possible, enables production to be kept consistent and competitive. 

Steve Lythgoe, Seddons’ logistics and inventory manager who played a key role in designing the machines, says that the company acted proactively when Covid-19 became an issue towards the end of 2019 and that the business built up significant stocks of Honda petrol and Yanmar diesel engines, plus other components. 

He adds that the company is prepared to hold healthy stock levels to ensure customer demands are met consistently. This has held it in good stead at times when container shipments have been delayed and caused disruption for other suppliers. 

“We have always sourced other components locally so that we are in control of our own destiny as far as possible in terms of consistency, reliability and quality,” he added. 

The comprehensive Taskman line-up includes models with working pressures from 1500psi to 3000psi (100 bar to 200 bar) for light and heavy commercial applications, and includes trailer-mounted machines and units with integral bowsers. 

Proving particularly popular at the moment is the Taskman 200-bar diesel trailer-mounted bowser washer with an integral 1000-litre water tank, which Seddons says is chosen for its versatility and performance.
