In control with Bobcat
21 November 2022
Amongst a number of concept machines displayed by Bobcat at Bauma last month was a version of the manufacturer’s 3.5-tonne E35 mini excavator fitted with an electro-hydraulic control system rather than conventional hydraulic joysticks.
The manufacturer says this means the excavator can be customised and programmed to suit all levels of operator skill.
Incorporating integrated sensors, the machine can perform a variety of semi-automated tasks, helping users to conduct precise grading, levelling and trenching activities in addition to other repetitive operations such as return-to-dig movements, states the company.
