Richard Fairfield becomes PASMA chairman
18 October 2022
Richard Fairfield, founder of the Bolton-based independent E.T. Hire, has been appointed as chairman of PASMA, the Pre-fabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association.
Richard, pictured left, takes over from Roger Verallo, managing director of Euro Towers, who has been chairman for a marathon nine-year stint. The handover took place during the association’s recent annual conference in Derby.
Richard has a keen interest in non-mobile powered access machinery. In 2014 he established the dedicated Site Access Services operation alongside E.T. Hire to supply and install access equipment, including a bespoke designs service.
He trained to become a PASMA instructor to educate others on safe tower assembly and was appointed as the association's Hire and Assembly committee chairman in 2015, and deputy chairman of PASMA in 2018.
