MCS to make Bauma debut

Reflecting its global expansion over 40 years of serving the hire industry, MCS Rental Software is to exhibit at Bauma in Munich later this month. 

The company’s MCS-rm hire and asset management software is designed to manage hire transactions at all stages. It has office locations in the UK, USA, Germany, France, Benelux, Scandinavia, Spain, Australia and South Africa. 

The latest functions available include its a third-party transport solution enabling hire companies to effectively work with external haulage providers using a mobile device instead of relying on paper-based forms. 

Drivers can complete digital proof of deliveries and obtain signatures and site photographs which are made available instantly in the MCS-rm program, reducing the time spent waiting for paperwork to return to the office. 

Guy van der Knaap, managing director, said: "Historically, a barrier for rental companies delivering a smooth rental process was the lack of visibility once the equipment has been handed over to third-party haulage providers. With the new mobile app, third-party drivers can now deliver and collect equipment while removing paper from the process." 

The core software can integrate with various third-party financial, telematics and marketing providers and allows hirers to track the management and servicing of equipment, digitise the picking process with mobile check-in and check-out, and offers business intelligence functions and dashboards. Transport routes can also be optimised for is deliveries and collections. 

Bauma takes place in Munich from October 24 to 30 and MCS will be on stand A2 410.
