Zappshelter shows versatility
22 September 2022
The versatility of of the Zappshelter temporary site structure system was demonstrated at the recent Letsrecycle Live exhibition at the NEC.
Zappshelter, a brand of Paragon Protection Systems, showed how its structures can be used in industries like waste handling and recycling.
“In construction applications, Zappshelters can be installed to protect building materials like cement and aggregates, but they can also be used to create a storage area for loose plastics, cardboard, paper and the like,” project manager Freddie Michel told me.
Zappshelters comprise a steel frame structure and a very heavy-duty woven co-polymer cover. This typically attaches to the side of steel containers or welfare units on a site, as was seen on one side of the display installation. The other was secured to a wall of concrete blocks, showing the flexibility of installation methods.
The structures convert otherwise empty areas of a site into useful storage space, as was reported in an earlier piece about Zappshelter on the blog.
