A common source of frustration for hirers serving busy construction sites is trying to keep track of the many pieces of equipment that might be on hire in different places.

MCS has developed new functionality within its software enabling hirers to take site photographs and GPS details to help trace items quickly and easily. When it comes to servicing or collecting equipment, drivers or engineers will know precisely where on-site the assets were stationed upon delivery.

Nick Thomson, MCS sales director, says this capability especially important for companies hiring items like generators, portable sanitation and site cabins.

Hirers can also record GPS details before deliveries, helping to make drop-offs simpler. Drivers can then obtain delivery signatures, complete checklists and take GPS-enabled site photographs, with all the information being instantly available in the central MCS rental management software.

“This step towards better visibility of equipment location has been yet another great addition to the MCS Transport Mobile functionality,” adds Nick. “Empowered with more information about each rental contract, our clients can provide even better customer service and have an improved overview of all of their equipment assets.”
