Genny Hire doubles Shindaiwa fleet
20 June 2022
Genny Hire has bought ten more Shindaiwa PowerCenter 15 generators, doubling the number of the machines that the company has in its fleet.
The first units have already been delivered to the Aberdeen-based company and director Lorna Clark tells me that this latest order reflects ongoing strength of demand.
“Shindaiwa is a trusted name and the PowerCenter 15 is a very good model," she tells me. "We reached a point recently when nearly all our 15s were out on hire, with more orders booked, so now was the time to act.
“The first machine [pictured red above] went out on hire immediately. They move so fast and we always have a lot of work for them. We order them with a petrochemical facility specification so we can send them out to onshore and offshore projects, and of course now the event season is well under way. The PowerCenter 15 is ideal for smaller events.”
Shindaiwa Ltd’s MD Andy Munford similarly says that business remains very strong, having previously reported a record year. “We are now nearing the end of the first quarter of our next financial year and it should prove to be our strongest quarter since starting the company in 2010.
“We are talking to many hire companies who are really busy and buying more equipment.”
Designed for a variety of hire markets including construction, offshore, rail and industry, the PowerCenter 15 has a Stage V Kubota engine and has a 15kVA output with single and three-phase capability.
Lorna says that the red machine will eventually be finished in Genny Hire’s eye-catching yellow livery when things are a bit quieter – but given current demand levels, that might be some time yet…
