Software celebration
25 April 2022
Personnel on the Point of Rental Software stand at last week’s ScotPlant exhibition in Edinburgh were in even more upbeat mood than usual.
The first day of the show was just two days after the company’s UK office in Reading held a birthday party bringing all employees together to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the business – a landmark highlighted earlier this month on the blog.
Point of Rental’s Amelia Reed, James Walton and Peter Wright, who were manning the stand, told me that the events on 20 April started with a deluxe team breakfast and then the working day was interspersed with activities ranging from table football to quizzes, with topics including identifying the disguised logos of hire company customers.
At ScotPlant, the company promoted its latest software developments. These include Syrinx 365, a web-based interface for its popular hire management program providing access to key information with a single log-in, and RentItOnline, a versatile e-commerce platform that can also store information relating to a hire contract as well as integrating with additional functionality like telematics data.
