HTA expands training

The Hire Trade Alliance (HTA) is expanding the health and safety training services that it offers to hirers and end users.

“We are now offering three levels of safety training services,” says director Jodie Pilkington, who joined the association in January and works alongside fellow director, her father Tony.

“We have a simple service offering advice as and when needed, and undertaking health and safety audits or gap analyses," says Jodie, pictured above. "We can also operate on a monthly retainer basis whereby we will advise 24/7 and make site visits; and another monthly package includes more site visits, risk assessments and discounted health and safety training.”

Training can be offered on subjects like fire safety, IOSH programmes, PASMA courses on aluminium towers and other access equipment, asbestos, noise sampling and monitoring, dust, manual handling, abrasive wheels, annual risk assessments of hire premises, and safety audits, amongst others.

Toolbox talks and on-site training can also be organised for contractors and hirers’ customers.

The HTA offers three levels of membership, giving access to a range of services including use of its Terms & Conditions, code of conduct, business advice support and networking opportunities.
