Dromad’s SOS response

Dromad Hire’s equipment and personnel can be spotted on television this weekend.

The Dundalk-based company helped with a project on DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland, which airs on RTE 1 this Sunday, 3 April at 6.30pm or can be viewed on the RTE Player app.

Dromad provided a range of powered access equipment, along with general plant and machinery plus PPE, for use by contractor Collen Construction and presenter Baz Ashmawy, along with a team of volunteers as they renovated the home of the Parsons family in Co. Meath.  

The Parsons wished to make their home more accessible for their two children, Ryan and Josh, who suffer with ill health. They were in desperate need of turning their semi-detached home into a more suitable living space.

Dromad team members were also on hand throughout the build, offering advice and assistance, including site assessments. 

According to regional sales manager Pierce Martin, who is pictured, right, with Baz Ashmawy: “We were honoured to be involved in supplying whatever was needed.

"Delivering night or day, our team were on call to help to make dreams come true for the Parsons family. We as a company understand the importance of supporting local communities and it was a privilege to lend our expertise, service and equipment.”
