Hares move fast to deliver service

Hares Hire certainly went the extra mile recently to support a contractor who was working outside their normal area. 

Daren Hare, managing director of the Rainham-based business, took a phone call from the customer who was urgently preparing for a job the following week in Lowestoft – some 140 miles away. 

“They needed 100m of Heras fencing for a job at a supermarket the following Sunday, to be delivered at 4pm. We would normally sort that sort of request on a re-hire basis but the customer was finding it hard to source a supplier who would work at that time and they needed a response immediately. 

“I quoted him a fair rate for the fencing and for transport over that distance and he confirmed the order there and then. He contacted me again soon afterwards to add a mini excavator to the order as well.” 

Hares Hire, which had a record year in 2021, has continued to grow its fleet. Recent additions include more Snorkel compact scissor lifts and Hilti breakers.
