Busy Bradfords warms to Dri-Eaz units

For Bradfords Building Supplies the new year has continued from where 2021 left off – at a cracking pace. 

“Our core customer base are jobbing builders and many were back at work quickly after the Christmas weekend,” Keith Hallam, trading director – tool hire tells me. 

“We always open between Christmas and the new year. It’s a bit quieter but there is always enough business to warrant opening up our builders’ merchant and tool hire operations.”

Bradfords has recently added a number of Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers. The company already offers units from the manufacturer and the newcomers are Revolution LGR models that can be stacked one on top of another.

The units can withdraw moisture at a rate of up to 63 litres per day to give faster results while occupying a small footprint. The risk of damage in situ is also reduced. 

“The machine’s potential was first identified by our Newton Abbot tool hire depot manager Jon Davis,” says Keith. “Jon has added them to his fleet at the depot to see how customers get on with them, with the aim of rolling them out eventually throughout our branch network.

“That’s what we often do with a new piece of kit. We did the same recently with Coveya compact materials conveyors, which have been added to the fleet at our Glastonbury depot.” 

● Bradfords will soon be adding Husqvarna’s high-performance K1 PACE battery powered cut-off saw to its fleet, as it continues to expand its eco-friendly equipment offering to help customers reduce their carbon footprints.
